Implementation
Implementation
Preferred Results is a business improvement and turnaround company.
PRL has evolved out of implementation projects. ‘Walking the Talk’ is what it has always done, however, it will only ever implement changes that sit within its sphere of expertise. Such projects fall into a range of categories which include:
- Lean
- Organisation Restructuring
- Strategy Implementation
Project Briefs
Regardless of whether the analysis approach had been one of Benchmarking, Financial Health Analysis, Organisation Structure Analysis, Ecosystem Analysis, Process Review, Work Study, Skills & Competencies, or some other approach, the analysis phase will always conclude with a Diagnosis, a Prognosis and evaluation of the Options for Change.
While for some Clients a report on the Analysis phase may be sufficient in itself, other Clients may require a robust Project Brief as a first step towards the structuring of a follow-on project to address deficiencies or to take advantage of opportunities identified during the course of an analysis.
Preparing a Brief can be quite a simple task, for example, where a change of layout is required, or a change in the Method, or other such changes which are under the direct control of the Client. In other cases, the Brief may be complex, for example where process automation is required, or a new ERP System, or CRM, or some other Critical Mission Software with one or more Service Providers involved. Under such circumstances the preparation of the brief may extend to developing detailed ‘User Requirements’ and reviewing alternative solutions with external service providers. In the case of a Complex Brief, scoping a project and preparing the Brief can become a project it itself.
Project Implementation
The Project Brief and the Client will determine whether PRL should implement the project as outlined in the Brief, whether the Brief in itself is sufficient or whether PRL should Project Manage the proposed project.
Where PRL has been in the process of preparing a Project Brief, but is not to be the main implementor of change, it may make sense for it to Oversee/Project Manage the implementation project so as to ensure that it is executed as envisaged, or where changes are required, that they are scrutinised to ensure that they are aligned with the project objectives.
Project Management
Where PRL has been in the process of preparing a Project Brief, but is not to be the main implementor of change, it may make sense for it to Oversee/Project Manage the implementation project so as to ensure that it is executed as envisaged, or where changes are required, that they are scrutinised to ensure that they are aligned with the project objectives.
